Fun with Watercolor, pencils and crayons

I had so much fun creating this card! Not only did I get to use watercoloring again (my current favorite) but I made some new "vicki stamps". The pencil and crayon group are just 2 items repeated. But now I have another digi to keep around for future card.

I used Derwent Intense Watercolor Pencils on the writing implements and covered them over with Liquid Crystal. After drying I was able to wash over the page with distress stain and added a few water spots for texture.

I'm always looking at card making technique video's. This is my second card using glossy accents to mask my pre-painted area. I haven't seen any video using the liquid crystal stuff as a watercolor mask before. Maybe I'm on to something? lol!

Here's the other card with Glossy Accents resist

Thanks so much for the visit! Victoria

Products used to make this card: #110 cardstock, clear sequins, Ranger Glossy Accents, Derwent Inktense Watercolor Pencils, Worn Lipstick Distress Stain. SSS Favorite Flowers Stamps "You are my favorite", doubled sided tape and pop tape.

  1. Love this card. The red/pink the way it bursts upward like an explosion of sparkle and colour. Brilliant. Using glossy accents to mask the first image, totally clever.

  7. Victoria, your card is awesome and the water-colouring top notch fabulous! The repetition of the crayon and pencil is eye-catching; a change in sentiment it becomes a back to school card, or a thank you teacher card, ro a 'you colour my world' card! Oh, the possibilities! Yes, you're definitely 'on to' something: and that something is amazing!! Thank you for sharing at ATSM (and check out Inkspirational...I think it fits there, too!!)
