Pink, Blue and White Cards with a Sketch

This week I'm making my cards from the sketch and colors of AAA Cards CAS Challenge called "Enjoy".
The colors are pinks, blues and white with an easy, enjoyable sketch. This is just the second week for AAA Cards.

My card with a "vicki stamps" digital. (I am vicki stamps, love making digi's) I'm using watercolor paper and some cool paints my mother got a long past CHA show ago in Las Vegas. The paints are "LuminArte" in colors Blue Iris and Mediterranean Blue, it shimmers.

My mother, Arlene Thayer, started one of the pioneer crafting web spots. Long before Blogger was even created, my mother started a site called "Polymer Clay Central". It was back during the 1990's craze in fimo. She sold off the site a few years ago, but I can still easily google her and see some of her older articles. She's well remembered in those fimo circles.

My stamp is colored in with my new set of Derwent Inktense Pencils that I got for my birthday yesterday (got a chicken coop and a diamond solitaire necklace too!)  For texture I've covered the flower and leaves in clear fine glitter. It was HARD to stop at this point in crafting the card. I kept thinking... I need ribbon, or pearls, or a sentiment. I felt like Dr. Strangelove, smacking my hands to control them. But I managed to behave and create a truly CAS card.

With this card I've followed more traditionally to the sketch design. I'm using new loot from BlueMoon Scrapbooking. The "happy in a cloud" die is from Memory Box and I've used my first stencil with ink to create the pink strip. The stencil is from The Crafters Workshop, the card body is scored at half inches and I've used my good 'ole Marvy corner punch. Except for the card body- everything is covered in glitter.

 I've used...
Cardstock from DCWV
LuminArte paints
Derwent Inktense Pencils
Martha Stewart Clear Fine Glitter
Krylon low odor Spray Glue
6x6 Stencil from The Crafters Workshop
Grossgrain ribbon from SAS Fabrics
Martha Stewart Scoring Board
Memory Box "happy in a Cloud" die
Marvy Corner Punch
a'la mode Pigment Ink Pad, Pink
Pop Tape
vicki stamps "doodle flowers" page print
how do 2 simple cards use so much stuff?

It's been so nice to have you drop by and visit me. If you'd like to play at AAA Cards, we'd love to have you! The prize this week is the stamp sheet I've used in my first card. Try us.

Cheers, Victoria Lavender
