Ren and Stimpy Happy Joy Card

STILL MAKING CARDS...... I've been cranking them out these last couple days. This one was inspired by Iwona Palamountain (Chupa). She owns CASE Study and runs a little Sketchbook Saturday Challenge too.










 

 I wasn't sure about what to use as a whimsical sentiment until I remembered a favorite song my sister and I sing from the old Ren and Stimpy Show. Iwona created a cute card and I went for comedy.

The special thing about this card is the stamp of Ren and Stimpy...I made that. I found a picture of them singing the song. A full color cartoon picture,  it had a black outline around the guys and I was able to isolate it and remove it from the color background. So easy it cracked me up. Catch was it needed a lot of clean up. Here's the color image and the new stamp. I'm nervous about markers, so I start with colored pencils to create a color base and then add color from my Marvy markers.

I'm starting a little card challenge, it's called AAA Cards (Triple A Cards). Starting May 5th (Monday) we'll start playing "Triple Play" a game that needs 3 aspects (like- newspaper, stamp & color splash) and every other week is "Card CASEing" where there will be a guest card designer. Prizes too! I make digital stamps and that's what folks will have the opportunity to win. Check out the site...looking for CAS/Modern/Nearly Clean style artist. Hugs ya'll!
